Hello and welcome to Open Door Choir!

​

I have a passion for bringing people together to enjoy all that is great about making music and run various choirs, directing community music events and workplace singing groups, including the very popular daytime

'Sing Your Heart Out Selsey' Choir, which takes place at St Wilfrid’s Church Hall in Selsey on Monday afternoons,

‘Open Door Choir’ –at Sidlesham Memorial Hall on Monday evenings, and the community –

‘SingClusive Friday Club’, Selsey.

I started my musical career as an early years music consultant living in Kingston-upon Thames and worked in junior and primary schools across the borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. I then moved down to Selsey over 10 years ago and after completing a two year course in Community music at Goldsmiths University, moved on to working with adults, running various health & wellbeing and workplace choirs.

Open Door Choir started towards the back-end of 2022 and invites people from all over the Manhood peninsular to get together at this fun and sociable, non-auditioned choir, where we sing a wide variety of songs from traditional folk to current chart music. 

​

The sessions are fun and easy-going with music being taught by ear, there is no need to be able to read music or to have had any previous experience. Just a willingness to learn and give it your best is all that is asked. We have enjoyed performing as part of a mass-community choir of over 80 singers at summer concerts at the Selsey Academy, and love sharing our music amongst the community.
