AND THE WINNER IS….

​

Well obviously all of us! Wow what a way to end our learning for this (academic) year.  The heat certainly didn’t stop us from giving our all as we just about conquered both the endings of Forever Country and Let the River Run after weeks and weeks of very hard work. Could we improve it? Yes of course we could. Are we singing all the right notes? No. Did we let ourselves go and give it our all? YES we bloomin’ well did. This resulted in some brilliant moments of pure community singing. Yes we sometimes went a bit sharp, yes we sometimes came in on the wrong note, but what I hear when listening back, is a group of friends, who all trust each other now, and aren’t afraid to give it a go. This makes such a difference- trust and friendship – we can all laugh at our mistakes, and celebrate our successes. So thank you.

 

Next week will be our final session before breaking up for the summer holidays. Please feel free to bring something to drink (and a glass) and some nibbles as we celebrate all that is good about singing together. I will kick off the evening teaching you a cheeky little summer round and then we will gather in our voice sections to sing the songs chosen by you.
